Develop, support, and optimize the data warehouse to facilitate reporting and analysis of enterprise data. Responsible for analyzing source system data, building processes to provide data cleansing and proper categorization. Translates business processes into logical and physical models in support of business requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with Cloud Data storage technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS or similar is preferred
  • Contributes to the data warehouse development lifecycle (requirements gathering, ETL, database design & development, testing & validation).
  • Designs and builds data structures to support analysis and reporting.
  • Designs and builds processes to ensure integrity and quality of data.
  • Troubleshoots and optimizes existing queries and databases.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements.
  • Maintains data dictionary & documentation.
  • Maintains knowledge of current BI tools, methods, and best practices.
  • Acts as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on business systems projects.
  • Determines and resolves problems with other systems analysts, programmers, and systems users.
  • Maintains, develops, modifies, and documents processes according to general specifications and guidelines.
  • Provides guidance to lower-level team members.
  • Consults with managerial and systems analysis personnel to clarify intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming and coding required.
  • Revises or directs revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, and controls and outputs.
  • Researches and evaluates software and hardware to enhance and improve existing processes.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
  • Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree; BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar degree preferred
  • At least six years related experience and/or training and experience with a developed expertise in database administration, data architecture or data modeling
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Pivot, PowerPoint, Access Outlook email program
  • General database administration practices
  • Knowledge of application of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
  • Advanced SQL & database development
  • ETL design patterns & best practices (MS Integration Services, Informatica, etc.)
  • SQL optimization methods and techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities on sizable projects

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 100 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
