Job description

Science Teacher

This is an opening for Fall 2026 for a teacher of science and mathematics for middle school students in a private school. Responsibilities include giving lectures, assigning homework, and grading. The curricula and texts are well-defined and class sizes are small. The minimum educational background of the successful candidate is a bachelor's degree in physical science, biological science, engineering, or mathematics. This is a very rewarding teaching experience as students enjoy science and mathematics and often pursue a science-related field in college. Pay rate is $4500 - 5200 per month. Benefits include health insurance, pension program, and professional development assistance. This position is for the 9-month academic year, September-June. NJ Teacher Certificate not required. Veterans and persons with engineering background are encouraged to apply. At our school, students are bright, motivated, and friendly, and faculty are great mentors and supportive colleagues.
