Position Information
Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Biology/Environmental Science Unit Biology Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Description of Work
Doane University, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences university in Crete, Nebraska, invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the School of Natural and Life Sciences to co-teach the 4-credit course BIO 215 Human Anatomy and Physiology I, and/or the 3-credit ENV 105 Introduction to Natural Resources, during the Fall 2026 semester. These courses meet in-person on Doane's residential campus in Crete, Nebraska, The BIO 215 weekly meeting time is 1:30 pm- 2:55 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and the ENV 105 weekly meeting time is 9-9:50 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The successful candidate will plan, develop, and execute the course curriculum and assessments to align with the department-chosen textbook and learning outcomes for ENV 105 and/or in collaboration with the other BIO 215 instructors. For both courses, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for hosting office hours and meeting with students as needed to support them in the course.
The successful candidate may be offered the opportunity to co-teach BIO 216 Human Anatomy and Physiology II and/or independently teach a section of 4-credit BIO 101 Introduction to Biology and/or a 3-credit ENV 105 Introduction to Natural Resources, in the Spring 2027 semester if approved by the school.
