Job description

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Qualifications:To qualify for the GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting radiation control surveillance of activities, personnel, or materials to ensure radiological control inspection requirements are appropriately recorded, maintained, and met.
To qualify for the GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least 6 months of general experience in physical science or a related field, and 6 months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing basic radiological control checks to ensure results of analysis or documented procedures performed are correctly recorded in accordance with standardized procedures and operations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education:The following education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
For the GS-05: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study above the high school level leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with a major study in an appropriate field of physical science or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics.
For the GS-04: Successful completion of 2 years of education above the high school level that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics.Employment Type: OTHER
