Overview:

The Public Relations Manager provides support to the Director of Public Relations (PR) by developing and managing key fashionable and print/online editorial relationships that support the vision and business objectives of vineyard vines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with the Director of Public Relations to drive fashion editorial coverage in print and online
  • Build and foster strong relationships with the media on national and regional levels
  • Develop PR initiatives that increase brand exposure and product awareness
  • Develop and execute press strategies for seasonal feature stories, special events and company projects in addition to product focuses
  • Oversee all vineyard vines sample requests for National & Regional Print and Digital titles
  • Collaborate with agency and internal teams to plan and execute brand, editor and influencer events
  • Manage, develop and maximize the potential of the PR team
  • Partner with advertising and marketing, wholesale and retail areas to support communication alignment and ensure consistency of messages
  • Coordinate press + influencer events and collection previews in regard to press and influencer attendance, correspondence and invitations 
  • Lead seasonal product walkthrough with editors, identify editorial trends and competitive market information and relate pertinent feedback to key partners 
  • Provide support to licensee and collaboration partners for seasonal press presentations and/or product launches
  • Track relevant departmental budget expenses

What You Bring: 

  • 5+ years of PR or agency experience 
  • Robust network of media and editorial relationships within the fashion, apparel and lifestyle industry 
  • Ability to work on competing priorities at the same time
  • Able to work with different teams and personalities, and find ways to compromise and do what’s best for the business. 
  • Excellent communication skills and innovative strategist
  • Proficient in Google suite (Excel, Slides, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Natural eye for fashion and style
  • Ability to make decisions based both on “art and science”
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and able to be nimble
