Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Support waste management (Collection of biowaste, chemical waste and sharps containers).ย 
  • Maintain the consumables list, order lab consumables, organization and labeling of lab consumables.ย 
  • Daily management of essential gasses (tracking gas levels) and working with the vendor in the ordering and replacement of new tanks.ย 
  • Tracking, shipping and receiving of mail and packages.ย 
  • Glasswash/autoclaving of glassware.ย 
  • General lab and office maintenance.ย 
  • Light facilities maintenance tasks.ย 
  • Emergency 24/7 alarm response.ย 
  • General cleaning and sanitization of the facility.ย 
  • Ordering, stocking, and organization of lab consumables.ย 
  • Conference room and workstation set up.ย 
  • Monthly testing of critical emergency equipment such as eyewash/shower.ย 
  • Any other activities and tasks reasonably requested by the companyย 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:ย 

  • AS/BS in relevant fields and 0-2 years of job experience in the fast-paced biotech industry.ย 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.ย 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.ย 
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to ~50 lbs. and operate transport equipment safely.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.ย 
  • Ability to collaborate with scientists and management, which can be described as a "team player" approach.ย 

Preferred Skills:ย 

  • Familiarity with lab safety procedures and hazardous materials handling.ย
