Position Summary
HSC Financial Services and HSC Contracts and Grants providesfiscal services to the entire HSC Campus, including off-site departments. Ourmission is to provide prompt, accurate, courteous and professional services tomeet all of our customer's needs. Our customers range from students, staff,faculty, and outside vendors and agencies.
HSC Financial Services and HSC Contracts and Grants is looking fora dynamic, self-directed professional for the position of Accountant II. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter whopossesses a strong accounting background and sponsored projects experience. Thesuccessful candidate for the AccountantII position must be knowledgeable in financial reporting and systems, andpossess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA/CMA Certification orMaster's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency/Expertise:
o In using databases for analysis
o With GASB regulations and other federal and state governmental regulations
• Experience with/in:
oRestricted(sponsored projects) accounting
o Training in, or experience with Banner Finance or a similar integrated system
o Collection of accounts receivable
o Professional accounting in large, private or public-sector environment
