Change Craft builds brands, campaigns, and content that spark real connection, reaching families, educators, and communities across the markets we serve. We're a small, fast-moving team that values ownership, craft, and clear communication over process for its own sake. We are looking for a Research Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience turning research and data into insights that shape advocacy strategy, campaign messaging, and client recommendations. You will work alongside our advocacy, public affairs, and creative teams, receive mentorship throughout the term, and lead a capstone project you can showcase in your portfolio.

  • Location: Sacramento, CA (hybrid/in-person)
  • Duration: Late September through mid-December 2026
  • Hours: 25–35 hours/week, flexible based on availability

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform advocacy campaigns, client strategy, and messaging
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights and reports for client-facing work
  • Support message testing, audience analysis, and evaluation frameworks for client initiatives
  • Assist with literature reviews, background research, and briefing materials spanning public health, education equity, and community advocacy issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the advocacy, public affairs, and creative teams
  • Bring curiosity and rigor to research work, with a willingness to explore new approaches

  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Sacramento area for the term
