Position Description:

Working as part of the Public Engagement team, the Future Science Leaders (FSL) Facilitator will support the development and implementation of a science-enrichment program for youth that utilizes hands-on skill-building activities to learn about cutting-edge research, academic theory, and industry opportunities.

This position works closely with the Year 1 Experiential Learning Specialist and the Teaching and Laboratory Assistant to carry out a successful program. From planning sessions, preparing resources for sessions, facilitating weekly sessions, and providing feedback to students, the FSL Facilitator is key to delivering the Year 1 FSL program.

Other

  • Assist in the recruitment of students for the following program year for all programs by reviewing applications and attending interviews
  • Support other FSL programs when needed, including chaperoning field trips and supporting FSL events (Winter Science Nights, Spring Student Showcase)
