JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist in the efficient operation of the campus reception area.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Greet visitors and respond to routine inquiries from staff and public.
  2. Exercise good telephone etiquette, receive incoming calls, answer routing questions, take reliable messages, route to appropriate staff.
  3. Maintain, organize, and update (order) supplies as needed.
  4. Perform clerical duties assisting staff.
  5. Route and distribute campus mail.
  6. Coordinate print and work orders.
  7. Coordinate substitute teacher program
  8. Complete absence from duty forms for staff.
  9. Keep conference room and front office waiting room clean, organized, and coffee ready for visitors.
  10. Sort and distribute mail.
  11. Assist others on the campus.
  12. Operate MIS System.
  13. Lock and unlock doors as assigned.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  15. Regular attendance.
  16. Maintain confidentiality
EXPERIENCE:
  • One to three years secretarial experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General computer knowledge
  • General knowledge of responsibilities of each campus department
  • General knowledge of school programs
  • Ability to work with students and teachers effectively
