The district has two (2) schools, the Madawaska Elementary School (PreK-6) a 2000-01 Nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School, and Madawaska Middle/High School (7-12), the 16th Ranked High School in Maine, according to the US News and World Report. Job Summary: To provide an Educational Program for Middle School Math (Grades 6-8) and Math Intervention instruction designed to allow each and every student to achieve the State of Maine Learning Results, Madawaska School Department Learning Results and other requirements described in the Madawaska School Department Local Assessment System and to provide evidence of that achievement to the student, parents or guardians, and school officials. Pay Range:$47,500 - $83,115 / year Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Maine Department of Education certification (Middle Level Teacher Endorsement 300: Math 6-12) or be eligible for conditional or provisional certification.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong knowledge of Maine Learning Results, Common Core Standards for Math, and current best practices in middle level education.
