Job description

Private independent Christian School seeks an energetic, responsible Bus Driver. We believe that the role of a Christian school employee is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, and a heart to meet the needs of others.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Bus Driver who will be responsible for operating buses and transporting students safely to their destinations.
Bus Drivers must:
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
  • Communicate with Transportation Director and other drivers as needed to coordinate routes and schedules
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the Transportation Director
Qualifications
  • Attitude, behavior, and language around students, staff, and peers should reflect the mission and vision of Landmark Christian School
  • High school diploma or GED required, supplemented by a minimum of six months previous school bus driving experience or vocational training
  • Requires successful completion of employment background screening
  • Valid state school bus driver license (CDL)
  • The ability to take charge but deal professionally and calmly in emergency situations
  • The ability to work effectively with employees, students, parents, school administration and local law enforcement representatives
