Behavior Therapist (BT or RBT) โ€“ Kindergarten | Denver, CO Area

PediaStaff is seeking a Behavior Therapist (BT) for a full-time, school-based position in the Denver, Colorado area. This position will provide individualized behavioral support to in a Kโ€“8 school setting.

This is a great opportunity for a behavioral professional who enjoys working one-on-one with younger students and helping them develop the behavioral, social-emotional, and self-regulation skills needed to be successful at school.

Position Details

  • Position: Behavior Therapist (BT)
  • Location: Denver, CO area
  • Setting: Kโ€“8 School
  • Age group: Kindergarten
  • Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 5 days per week
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay: up to $37 per hour
  • Requirement: Must have a current OR expired RBT certification
  • Full-time, on-site school position

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral support to a Kindergarten student throughout the school day
  • Implement behavior support strategies and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as directed by the educational and behavioral team
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based behavioral strategies
  • Support development of appropriate classroom behaviors, self-regulation, communication, coping, and social skills
  • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and participation
  • Collect and document behavioral data to help monitor student progress
  • Utilize appropriate prevention and de-escalation strategies when needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, BCBAs, and other school-based professionals
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Current or expired Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience providing behavioral support to children preferred
  • School-based, pediatric, ABA, or special education experience is a plus
  • Comfortable providing individualized support to an elementary-aged student
  • Strong communication, patience, and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary school team
