The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment is a mission-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental differences. We serve children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–21 through compassionate, individualized care rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).


Position Summary


A Program Assistant is a professional who practices under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Program Assistant’s primary responsibility is the direct implementation of treatment plans and programs designed to help individuals with autism develop social skills, reduce challenging behavior, and learn new skills. They are also responsible for electronically collecting data during each therapy session, documenting clients’ progress during sessions, and communicating with clinical teams. In this role, you receive training that prepares you to become a nationally certified Registered Behavior Technician®(RBT®) within your first 90 days of employment. Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clearance of a state and federal criminal background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Passion for working with children with special needs
  • Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, stair climbing, and sitting on the floor to attend to children's needs; this position is rated as active and regularly requires the individual to lift 30-50 pounds and move quickly
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
