• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the mental health needs of assigned clients, developing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions that incorporate diverse therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more.
• Collaborate closely with school psychologists, teachers, and parents to ensure effective communication and integrated care strategies.
• Respond to crisis situations by offering immediate support and developing safety plans for clients in acute distress.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to foster mental health awareness and promote positive behavioral health within Eugene schools.

Your primary focus will be on school-aged clients, providing mental health counseling that addresses issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social-emotional learning. You will engage with a rich tapestry of diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally informed practices that respect and understand the varied dynamics of each client’s situation.

• Possession of an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or a doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
• Demonstrated cultural competence in working with individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment outcomes.

• Experience in school-based counseling settings or familiarity with educational environments will be advantageous.
• Previous involvement in mental health outreach programs and workshops that promote mental wellness in schools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant mental health software platforms to streamline client management and documentation.
