Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and comprehensive assessments of medical histories
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging results and lab findings
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
• Provide vital intraoperative assistance, including preparing the operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently transferring surgical instruments
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and educating patients

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation completion with a focus on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of surgical principles and sterile procedures
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical choices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
