JOB TITLE: Tech - Multi Modality 

Position Summary: Performs a variety of technical procedures which may include: M.R.I., CAT Scan, Routine Radiography and Angiography. The Tech - Multi Modality should be proficient in two areas, including Radiography.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. The Tech - Multi Modality will comply with approved standards in patient safety, radiation protection, infection control and environment control.
  2. Provide an environment conducive to safety and comfort of patients, staff and visitors.
  3. Utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in supervising students and providing feedback concerning their performance.
  4. Has the ability to train fellow technologists in their particular modality.
  5. Has communication and problem resolution skills and is a professional role model.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
• Maintains Current: American Registry of Radiology Technologist
• State of Texas General Radiology License (Texas Medical Board)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Ability to read and write in English
2. Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers.
3. Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
4. Ability to show organization and leadership.
5. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
6. Bending and lifting (50-75 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling.
7. Electrical and radiant energy hazards are present.
