Job description

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 4-6 years additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Detailed understanding and experience with the Airflow platform.
  • Strong Python development experience including expertise in REST/JSON API.
  • Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies.
  • Experience in development for cloud-based systems, ideally AWS and Azure
  • Good understanding of AWS technologies including but not limited to EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)
  • Experience with both relational and No-SQL databases
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Great communications skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing an array of tools like Kafka, Splunk, NewRelic, Circle CI, Jira, Jenkins and Puppet.
  • A strong background with cloud based and COTS data and ETL tools like Snowflake, EMR, HDFS, Quoble, Spark, Lenses SQL and Edge Node
  • Development experience in languages like Groovy, Ruby, Javascript, Java, Scala and Node.js
  • Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
  • Exposure to Agile and test-driven development, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodology
