Job description

Position: Kafka / StreamSets Developer (Onsite)
Locations: Louisville, KY | Houston, TX
Visa: H1B / H4 EAD | Long-term

Responsibilities
• Build and support real-time data streaming using Apache Kafka
• Develop and maintain StreamSets Data Collector pipelines
• Create/maintain Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and consumer groups
• Implement error handling, retries, and monitoring for pipelines
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance (latency/throughput)
• Work with data/app teams for requirements, deployments, and documentation

Must-Haves
• Strong hands-on Apache Kafka experience
• StreamSets pipeline development (Data Collector)
• Real-time streaming / event-driven data processing experience
• One language: Java / Python / Scala
• Good debugging skills + Linux basics

Nice-to-Haves
• Kafka Connect, Schema Registry (Confluent)
• Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes
