Job description
Masonry Field Superintendent
Position Summary
We are seeking a Masonry Field Superintendent to oversee and coordinate masonry operations on commercial construction projects. This is a Direct Hire position directly with the contractor. This role works closely with foremen, superintendents, and management to ensure projects are properly mobilized, executed efficiently, and completed safely, on schedule, and within budgeted production targets.
Masonry Field Superintendent Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project startup, including mobilization of materials, equipment, and manpower
- Review project drawings and specifications to fully understand the contracted masonry scope of work
- Partner with masonry foremen and superintendents to plan and execute field operations
- Review project schedules and manage work activities to meet completion milestones
- Monitor jobsite production and compare actual performance to estimated bid production rates
- Attend project progress, coordination, and scheduling meetings as required
- Participate in weekly internal management meetings to review project status, manpower needs, and equipment requirements
- Evaluate and coordinate jobsite logistics with field leadership to maximize productivity and workflow
- Support and enforce jobsite safety policies and assist with safety inspections
Masonry Field Superintendent Qualifications & Experience
- Commercial masonry construction experience required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews, foremen, superintendents, and management
- Positive attitude, reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and professional, straightforward communication style
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment
