About the Position

The HVAC Installer will support the projects as a whole while working under the jobsite foreman on a job to do the installation of HVAC units, ductwork, and supporting structures. VRF and sheet metal experience are preferred. The HVAC Installer should always focus on supporting the install teams by following the FourSeasons Core Values. The HVAC Installer should continuously be working and operating proactively with integrity, accountability, and agility; in a client-focused and team-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the direction of the Superintendent and Foreman to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
  • Ensure safety of teams and quality of work throughout the project.
  • Work to ensure all deadlines are being met.
  • Remove obstacles for the team, when possible, partnering with leadership when needed.
  • Perform sheet metal and HVAC installations.
  • Review blueprints and job specifications
  • Prepare work records and inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Work with building inspectors in a positive and professional manner.
  • Participate in project site meetings.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following OSHA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in MEP estimating, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC and plumbing components.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (QuoteSoft, Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in HVAC or mechanical field a plus.
  • Experience working with VRF system and/or sheet metal.
  • Experience with HVAC duct configurations and the airflow impact.
  • Comprehension of equipment installation and operations manuals.
  • Experience with sheet metal and flexible duct systems.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems.
  • Desire to perform beyond the mandatory job requirements.
  • Ability to follow proper safety techniques.
  • Committed to personal integrity and looking for long-term growth.
  • Reliable transportation.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in, on, around, over, and under fixed equipment and machinery.
  • Comfortable working at heights using lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Capable of safely handling tools, materials, and equipment, including regularly lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces, hazardous or physically demanding conditions, and varying weather or temperature extremes, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing to access materials and complete tasks.
