Enrich students' lives as an engaging and open-minded part-time photography professor who helps them frame their unique points of view and learn the full spectrum of their trade. At SCAD, you'll prepare students for creative careers across the range of photography media, whether publishing books and magazines or exhibiting in museums and galleries around the world.

As a part-time photography professor, you'll join a roster of distinguished professionals with decades of experience across fine art photography, photojournalism, advertising, and more. SCAD's primary objective is to provide high-quality educational opportunities to its students in a professional environment that fosters knowledge, creativity, discipline, and character.

You will:
Prepare coursework, design a syllabus, and get syllabus approval
Host office hours, midterm grade reviews, and more
Provide students with extra help sessions, extended learning opportunities, and field trips outside of regular class hours
Model professionalism, fulfill all grading and academic documentation requirements, and record attendance
Assistwith academic assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts
Support departmental and university-wide initiatives through in-person and virtual attendance at events (e.g., faculty councils, admission activities, accreditation support, curriculum development, and exhibitions)

Minimum qualifications:
Terminal degree in photography or a relevant discipline
Academic and professional credentials to teach photography
Two years of work experience in a related profession OR post-secondary teaching experience
