Quick Facts Location: Summerville Medical Center, Summerville, SC 29485 Start Date: 08/29/2026 End Date/Duration: Multiple dates (see below) Shift: 24-hour shifts plus call from home/hotel Hours/Week: Variable, based on scheduling needs Employment Type: Per Diem Required Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified Neonatologist Experience: Prior NICU experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $3,120.00 Pay package discussion: Orientation hours at 50% of standard rate; flat rate daily for rounding and call; overtime over 40 hours/week at standard rate; holiday pay at 1.25x. Additional Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support Paid sick time (per laws) Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other applicable expenses What You’ll Do Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III NICU with 14 beds Rounding and attending to neonatal patients during scheduled shifts Collaborate with OB staff and multidisciplinary team, including MFM support Manage patient assessments and interventions for critically ill neonates Document clinical findings and communicate with family and care team Maintain compliance with hospital policies and neonatal care standards What You Need Required: Board Certified Neonatologist Valid South Carolina medical license or eligible for licensure Experience working in a Level III NICU Preferred: Previous experience in a similar NICU setting Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment This opportunity is at a prominent facility in Summerville, SC, known for delivering world-class neonatal care.
