Job Description:

Diamond Core Drilling & Sawing Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Counter Salesperson to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting our customers, preparing accurate project estimates, and coordinating work with contractors, project managers, and field personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, construction industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for concrete cutting, core drilling, sawing, demolition, and specialty construction services.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and walk-in visits.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at the sales counter and through ongoing client communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, property managers, and other customers.
  • Coordinate with project managers and field crews to ensure project scope and scheduling requirements are understood.
  • Follow up on submitted estimates and assist in converting quotes into awarded projects.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, and project documentation.
  • Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and administrative support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and generate new business through customer interactions.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous estimating, sales, or customer service experience in construction, concrete cutting, drilling, demolition, or related industries preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with estimating software and construction management systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
