Position Overview

Created Solutions is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer - THAAD Integration to support international Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) engineering efforts. In this role, you will provide coordinated communications integration support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) THAAD Chief Engineer and United Arab Emirates (UAE) THAAD Engineering Lead.

This position requires deep technical knowledge of THAAD and missile defense systems, strong systems and interoperability engineering experience, and the ability to coordinate complex technical efforts across U.S. Government, industry, and international stakeholders.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing
  • Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance related to the THAAD weapon system and international partners.
  • Support the Engineering Lead in managing the technical aspects of assigned force design efforts.
  • Support international Tactical Data Link (TDL) architecture activities and participate in data link conferences and technical exchanges.
  • Collaborate and coordinate force design technical efforts across multiple external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Identify deficiencies and shortcomings during planned or ongoing design reviews and develop options for resolving technical issues.
  • Document and communicate interim and final technical findings and results in a clear manner appropriate for senior-level decision makers.
  • Actively participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings, technical exchanges, and engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Masterโ€™s degree in a STEM or related technical/scientific discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Technical understanding of and experience with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system.
  • Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communications systems, including MILSATCOM.
  • Strong systems engineering and execution-process experience.
  • Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or THAAD Program Office efforts.
  • Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex technical problems and/or lead technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical reports, briefings, and presentations to senior-level personnel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Tactical Data Links, including TDL-J, Link 11, and Link 16.
  • Experience with encryption systems, Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems, and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Military experience involving Air Defense Artillery, THAAD, and/or Common Data Link Interface-Module (CDLI-M).
  • Previous experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working collaboratively with government, prime contractor, subcontractor, and supporting contractor personnel.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn, adapt, and perform effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.
