Role Overview
The SAP SCM Business Analyst III serves as the primary functional expert for Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions supporting Hyundai Motor Manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for the assessment, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and support of SAP SCM modules, including Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD), and related integrations. Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Hyundai AutoEver Americas (HAEA-AM), external partners, and Hyundai Motor Group headquarters in Korea, the analyst drives standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of SAP-enabled supply chain processes. The position ensures the reliable delivery of ERP projects, system enhancements, and production support services while promoting SAP best practices, maintaining system integrity, and supporting the organization's manufacturing and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business requirements gathering, analysis, fit-gap assessments, and solution design activities to align SAP SCM capabilities with manufacturing and supply chain business needs.
  • Manage the delivery of SAP SCM projects, enhancements, and production support activities, including incident resolution, defect management, system monitoring, and service-level agreement (SLA) compliance.
  • Collaborate with Hyundai Motor Group headquarters, business users, IT teams, and external partners to implement SCM best practices, enhance business processes, and support global SAP initiatives.
  • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, test plans, and training materials while supporting integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and solution deployment activities.
  • Analyze business processes and perform fit-gap assessments to recommend scalable, standardized SAP solutions that improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for SAP SCM modules and integrations, supporting system architecture reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, application maintenance, and knowledge management efforts.
  • Support end users through troubleshooting, issue resolution, training, and ongoing consultation while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring business continuity through on-call support when required.
Must-Have Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP SCM experience, including configuration, implementation, support, and enhancement of SAP MM, PP, and/or SD modules.
  • 7+ years of ERP project delivery experience, including full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, including Repetitive and/or Discrete Manufacturing environments.
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate business needs into SAP solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with business users, executives, IT teams, and global partners.
  • Proven ability to work in a global, matrixed organization, managing multiple priorities and collaborating across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, preferably supporting supply chain, production planning, or logistics operations.
  • SAP Certification in MM, PP, SD, or related SAP Supply Chain modules.
