Job description

SAP PP -(production planning)

Qualifications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., MM, WM, SD, FICO) to ensure seamless integration of SAP PP with other SAP modules and external systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 5 years SAP Manufacturing-Production Planning experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the migration of manufacturing processes (eg
  • production order processing, capacity planning, demand management, and scheduling) from multiple legacy systems to SAP ECC
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and execute a clear migration strategy and timeline
  • Analyze existing production planning processes and document current state workflows
  • Map these processes to customer's global design model, identifying gaps and suggesting optimizations for the migration to the new system
  • Work closely with the data migration team to define data migration strategies for key PP-related data, including production orders, work centers, routings, and material master data
  • Configure SAP PP module, including master data setup (e.g., materials, work centers, BOM, routing), production order processing, capacity planning, demand management, and scheduling
  • Ensure configuration aligns with business needs and SAP best practices
  • Ensure end-to-end process integration and accurate data flow across the supply chain
  • Lead and support system testing activities, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring production planning processes work as intended and data is correctly migrated
  • Address issues discovered during testing and ensure system readiness for go-live
  • Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions to ensure that the core and power users are equipped to effectively use the new SAP system
  • Document the migration process, configuration settings, and business processes for future reference
  • Provide issue resolution during the migration phase, including troubleshooting system errors, data discrepancies, and process challenges
  • Ensure that all PP processes function smoothly post-migration
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to communicate progress, identify risks, and address concerns during the migration process
  • Support post-go-live activities, including resolving any PP-related issues, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the successful adoption of the new system
