6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $185,000 per year
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Senior SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Architect for a 6-month contract-to-hire position based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work arrangement. This individual contributor role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, data, and delivery, and wants to be directly involved in shaping solutions-not just advising from a distance. You will be deeply embedded with data and engineering teams, partnering closely to bring structure, stability, and clarity to a complex Master Data Management (MDM) ecosystem. The organization operates within a highly integrated master data environment that includes SAP MDG alongside product and data platforms, supporting SKU and Vendor data, with Customer data expanding across multiple downstream systems. With growing data volumes, numerous integrations, and known stability challenges, this role exists to provide stronger architectural guidance and establish reliable, well-governed master data flows. You will blend strategic thinking with hands-on contribution, supporting both immediate delivery needs and long-term MDM strategy, particularly within retail or B2B settings with large data volumes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Analyze and document end-to-end master data flows across enterprise systems, learning where data is captured and how it moves through the landscape
  • Design and advise on master data governance, structure, and integration strategies for Customer, Vendor, and SKU domains
  • Act as a technical thought partner to architects, engineers, and data teams, providing hands-on support and guidance
  • Identify architectural gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in the MDM ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with development, engineering, and data teams to implement solutions and support tactical execution
  • Support both immediate delivery needs and longer-term master data management (MDM) strategy
  • Ensure data quality and governance across Customer, Vendor, and SKU master data domains, including improving and maturing vendor data quality
  • Learn and adapt to new platforms and integration points within the enterprise landscape, including SAP MDG and PIM/DAM platforms
  • Contribute to the stability and reliability of master data flows and integrations, helping to establish well-governed processes
  • Continuously monitor and enhance master data processes to align with business objectives
  • Advise teams on improved data flow and governance design, supporting execution side-by-side with developers and data teams
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) across Customer, Vendor, and SKU domains
  • Proven ability to design, govern, and integrate master data in large enterprise environments, especially in retail or B2B settings with complex data volumes
  • Experience working with enterprise systems, multiple system integrations, and large volumes of data
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end master data flows, architecture, and integration points
  • Ability to identify architectural gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborative mindset with experience partnering closely with development, engineering, and data teams
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to new platforms and environments, including SAP MDG and PIM/DAM platforms (specific platform experience not required)
