Job description

Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking talented SAP Techno-Functionals with expertise in Higher Education solutions to support our client project in the US. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and functional skills, including proficiency in SAP HANA, ABAP programming, SAP Basis administration, and/or SAP Fiori development. This role is essential for translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions that meet the unique operational needs of the organization while ensuring compliance with security standards and delivering an exceptional user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional requirements for SAP Higher Education implementations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Functional Design and Technical Configuration: Design and configure SAP solutions within the HANA environment, focusing on Higher Education modules. Ensure that both functional and technical configurations meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
  • SAP Fiori Implementation: Work closely with technical teams to implement SAP Fiori applications that provide a modern, intuitive user experience. Ensure applications are role-based, adaptive, and accessible across various devices.
  • Integration with SAP HANA: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP HANA with existing systems, optimizing data models and enhancing application performance.
  • ABAP Development: Develop and maintain ABAP programs and applications as needed to support functional requirements and enhance system capabilities.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Support unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the functionality and usability of developed applications. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving both functional and technical issues as they arise.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process specifications, configuration guides, and technical documentation tailored for Higher Education applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, best practices, and industry trends. Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in project planning and status meetings, providing updates on progress, addressing potential challenges, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP consulting, with a strong focus on Higher Education solutions preferred.
  • Solid understanding of SAP HANA and its application in Higher Education environments.
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming and experience with SAP Fiori development.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including system installations, configurations, and performance management.
