This role will play a critical role in our enterprise SAP modernization journey-supporting both ECC and S/4HANA environments while enabling a Clean Core, upgrade-safe future on SAP BTP. The position partners closely with functional, integration, and architecture teams and contributes to technical standards and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and support SAP applications across SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP7) and SAP S/4HANA.

Build and support solutions on SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA, leveraging SAP Fiori and SAPUI5, with a focus on performance, scalability, and enterprise architecture standards.

Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions and upgrades, including SPAU/SPDD activities, ATC-driven custom code remediation, and post-conversion stabilization in dual-landscape environments.

Design, implement, and support SAP integrations using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, SOAP services, and REST APIs.

Develop and extend side-by-side and cloud-based applications on SAP BTP, using RAP- and CDS-based backend services aligned to SAP Clean Core principles.

Optimize application performance on SAP HANA using code pushdown techniques, CDS-centric data models, and efficient Open SQL.

Provide ongoing production support, enhancements, and defect resolution in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Define and enforce ABAP quality, testing, and performance standards using tools such as ABAP Unit, ATC/SCI, Code Inspector, SAT, ST05, SQL Monitor (SQLM), and ST12.

Collaborate with functional, Basis, integration, and architecture teams on design reviews, effort estimates, and end-to-end solution delivery.

Participate in code reviews, provide mentoring, and contribute to continuous modernization initiatives and technical standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA environments.

Strong experience with ABAP on HANA, including performance tuning and database-centric development.

Proven experience supporting SAP upgrades, migrations, and ECC to S/4HANA transition projects.

Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, enhancements framework, BADIs, interfaces, and performance optimization.

Hands-on experience with modern ABAP development using RAP, CDS, AMDP, and OData services.

Experience supporting or developing solutions within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or finance domains.
