JOB DESCRIPTION:
Th is co-op position is for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, Business Analytics, or Purchasing. This position provides an opportunity to learn the business of a premier commercial vehicle supplier from various perspectives within the company. A co-op in this role works primarily in the Supply Chain Excellence department on demand forecasting improvements.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate product demand versus forecast with the goal of increasing forecast accuracy
• Understand business results and provide company-wide customer demand and forecast information to top management
• Ensure trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts are incorporated into the forecasts
• Assist in the operational management of aftermarket sales promotions and customer changes with demand patterns
• Provide assistance with Regional Distribution Center planning
• Engage in cross-functional Supply Chain projects with other business areas as required
• Support Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP) and forecasting within SAP
• Operate within the SAP demand planning and Business Intelligence system
• Assist in SAP Demand Planning improvements
• Conduct data analysis
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Currently attending an accredited college or university
• 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher • Proficient in understanding databases and analyzing data
• Take ownership of projects assigned
• Resourceful and organized
• Ability to establish trust and credibility
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Work well in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft® Office Tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
