Job description

The work
The SAP PS Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Project Systems solutions within complex, projectdriven environments. Leveraging deep expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), this role bridges project management principles with SAP technical execution to provide accurate tracking, forecasting, and performance measurement. The consultant will collaborate closely with SAP PS teams and clients, participate in solution architecture discussions, lead integration activities across Finance and Supply modules, and provide subject matter expertise in EVM best practices. Strong analytical capabilities, hands-on SAP experience, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly are essential for success in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SAP PS teams and clients to design and implement solutions, including WBS structures, Networks, Activities, and Milestones
  • Participate in architecture discussions, create design documentation, support testing cycles, and lead PS integration across Finance and Supply
  • Design and implement automated EVM solutions within SAP PS, including configuration of PV, EV, AC, SV, CV, SPI, and CPI
  • Configure Progress Analysis and progress versions; establish EAC and ETC forecasting models
  • Serve as an EVM subject matter expert (SME) and lead workshops on asis and futurestate processes
  • Create functional specifications, test plans, execute testing, and document results
  • Translate EVM and project management requirements into SAP functional and technical specifications
  • Partner with developers to build EVM dashboards and reports using SAC, Fiori, or SAP standard reporting
  • Provide insights to leadership regarding project cost/schedule performance and associated risks

Here's what you need:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on SAP PS configuration experience; SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred
  • Proven expertise in SAP Progress Analysis, Milestone Trend Analysis (MTA), and Earned Value metrics
  • Strong understanding of Product Costing, FI/CO, MM, PP, and HCM/CATS for endtoend project cost control
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • SAP PS Certification and/or Earned Value Professional (EVP) certification preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial and project data
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical SAP configurations to non-technical business stakeholders

Eligibility requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to client sites up to 25% per month
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance
