Job description


 

We are seeking an experienced SAP (SAP ECC) Labor Collections Accounting Analyst to join our Client’s Finance organization. In this role, you will support critical labor charging, time collection, and cost accounting processes that keep corporate programs, engineering, and operations running with precision and compliance. We are looking for someone who brings passion, innovation and excellence to their daily work. Having experience in Aerospace and/or Supply Chain Industries would be very helpful.

Key Responsibilities:


• Monitor and reconcile labor collection transactions in SAP to ensure accurate time charging, labor postings, and cost allocations across the Corporation.
• Investigate labor charging discrepancies and partner with HR, Payroll, Program

Finance and operational leaders to resolve issues promptly.
• Support monthly and quarterly close cycles, including labor cost accruals,

variance analysis, and reconciliation of labor-related accounts.
• Maintain and validate labor related SAP master data, including cost centers,

activity types, work centers, and labor rates, ensuring compliance with RTX

accounting structures.
• Collaborate with Digital Technology to troubleshoot SAP labor issues, document requirements, test system enhancements, and support platform upgrades such as

S/4HANA.
• Prepare labor analytics and reporting for Program Finance, Operations, and

leadership, providing insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition requirements (FAR), Cost Accounting

Standards (CAS), DFARS, and RTX labor charging policies.
• Support internal, external, and government audits by providing documentation,

process explanations and SAP data extracts.
• Identify opportunities to improve labor collection accuracy, streamline workflows,

and support the Corporation’s ACE continuous improvement culture.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and internal stakeholders on labor accounting processes and SAP best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in labor accounting, cost accounting, timekeeping, or SAP FI/CO.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with detailed financial and transactional data.
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with SAP reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across functions and levels.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting environments.

• Possess a working knowledge of how the State of Puerto Rico’s laws/regulations impact configuration/coding for calculations (e.g., ring-in, ring out, elapsed time calcs etc.).

• Familiarity with Workday as the Human Resources System of Record and EV5 (Customized PeopleSoft/Oracle Application. Work would involve also supporting these interfaces.

• Knowledge of FAR Part 31, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA audit expectations.

• Experience supporting SAP upgrades or participating in testing activities, including S/4HANA.
• Exposure to Kronos, SuccessFactors, or other timekeeping platforms.

• Excellent Communication Skills and an ability to productively work with a diverse group of people whether onsite or at remote locations.

Additional Information:

· This position is a 40 hour per week contract assignment. This position may require flexible working hours, depending on project needs and timelines. The position is officially based in Connecticut and is hybrid so perhaps two to three days in the office or as needed.

· This position may be converted from consulting to a full time position.
