How You Will Make an Impact:

As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles or machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and identify root causes of vehicle or machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, machinery, and equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machines and vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and are operating
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, such as belts, filters, batteries, and spark
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Document all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and recommendations for future
  • Collaborate with the shop team and other departments to meet deadlines and ensure all vehicles or machinery are operational and ready for use.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new repair techniques, and equipment to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and
  • Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company safety standards.
  • Provide estimates for repair costs and time frames when needed, and communicate effectively with supervisors or customers regarding repair status.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with experience in vehicle, machinery, or equipment repair (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery used in the repair
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to discuss issues and repairs with customers, supervisors, or team
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
