SAMPLES COORDINATOR - FLOORING

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others. We operate in 13 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

Summary

We are currently seeking a "best in class" Samples Coordinator with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be responsible for taking sample orders and make sure the order is prepared and shipped to the customer based on the order requirements. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, you will nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Follow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas.
Be able to operate a forklift or order picker - certified.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Create order for material to be used to create the sample or sample board.
Select manufactured product from inventory.
Use JDE to move material from warehouse to location SAMPLES to be adjusted out.
Layout product on panel.
Cut and assemble product to sample panel.
Prepare samples for shipment.
Keep loose sample bins current and stocked.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
Must be able to quickly identify materials

Education
