Founded in 1992 as a cooling tower cleaning company, Tower Water has grown from a two‑person operation into a leading water treatment organization serving the New York City–Metropolitan area. Our evolution was driven by engineering expertise and industry innovation — Consisting of our Service Department, Water System Construction Consulting Department, and Legionella Compliance Department

With decades of hands‑on experience and a deep understanding of complex water systems, we deliver high‑quality water treatment solutions for property managers, pharmaceutical facilities, educational institutions, and light industrial clients. We focus on solving problems rather than selling products, ensuring our programs support client profitability, system reliability, and long‑term energy savings.

Tower Water is looking for a candidate to join our compliance division. This individual will be responsible for performing Legionella culture sampling in accordance with legionella local legislation. This role ensures that all cooling tower systems under company oversight meet the new requirement mandating Legionella culture testing must be performed on a routine, recurring basis to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable public health requirements. This role is responsible for conducting field sampling, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting all compliance reporting necessary to meet regulatory standards.

This position requires the ability to meet and execute deadlines in a timely manner, Understanding of Legionella sampling requirements and compliance obligations, and provide reliable data such as, sample collection, labeling, and associated documentation.

This is a full-time, entry-level position, field-based role. Training is provided

Requirements

Primary Duties

  • Understanding of Legionella sampling requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Perform Legionella culture sampling for all assigned systems.
  • Conduct resamples in accordance with local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Follow proper chain of custody procedures, sample handling, and transport protocols.
  • Collect additional microbial or water quality samples as required.
  • Weekly Monitoring of cooling tower systems not limited to following
  • Visual inspections of the cooling tower system.
  • Chemical inventory monitoring.
  • Reviewal of treatment chemicals in use.
  • Bacteria testing.
  • Disinfection
  • Communicate and coordinate with our water treatment and construction divisions
  • Support for field compliance auditor
  • Educating Customers on the provided services.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong documentation, communication, and time‑management skills
