Job description

Join Our Senior Nutrition Volunteer Team!

  • *THIS IS AN ONGOING POSITION, MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR A MINIMUM OF SIX MONTHS OR MORE. **

Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us serve food and drinks to our senior clients. Your efforts will bring smiles and hope to many!

What You'll Do:

  • Serve Refreshments: Delight our senior clients by serving coffee, tea, and water.
  • Distribute Joy: Assist in handing out meals to our community members.
  • Assemble Utensil Sets: Prepare utensil sets to ensure our senior nutrition lunches are ready to enjoy.

Qualifications:

  • Screening Process: Requires a quick interview over the phone, a background check, three references, and a few online trainings.
  • Weekly Commitment: Must commit to volunteering at least once a week for 6 months.
  • Strength and Stamina: Able to lift and carry a 20-pound food bag and stand for most of the shift.
  • Heart for Service: Must be able to work with the public and have a passion for helping homeless and low-income individuals.

Shifts:

Monday through Friday

8:30am -11:30am
