Job Summary
Operation of CNC Spin forming machine, forming metal around Rubber Packing Seals. Operators will perform product inspections and precise measurements using a multitude of different measuring devices from Calipers to PI Tape. Adjusting programs and tools is necessary to meet the required customer specifications.
  • (3) third shift positions open. Training may occur on the first or second shift. Shift premium for second and third shift. This is a union position.

This position will report to the Shift Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC Spin Former machine safely, accurately, and efficiently using Work Instructions.
  • Load programs on machine and make necessary adjustments
  • Read, understand and follow job specific Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Measure accurately using measurement tools (PI Tape and Calipers)
  • Wear required PPE: hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes. Other areas may also have job-related PPE such as gloves and/or sleeves and will be provided.
  • Maintain proper daily maintenance and housekeeping of machines using 'Five S' Lean concepts - sort, set in order, shine, standardize.
  • Set up A-Lips, Teflon top and bottom and operation of Double cups
  • Setup and spinning of Wear Sleeves Small and Large diameters
  • Unloading of new received metals from Pallets to blank metal shelving
  • Product tracking and completion of productivity reports
  • Ability to Travel for 2 weeks at a time to Salt Lake City for initial training is a plus.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred; specialized training or certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in the common language (English)
  • Basic Computer and Math skills required.
  • CNC knowledge and/or machining experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Constant movement and standing for the duration of the shift.
  • Able to sit, walk, bend, reach & pull, lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to use repetitive motion in hands, arms, and wrists
  • Exposure to factory work environment
  • Good visual and hearing acuity
