Salesforce Training Manager information

What does a Salesforce Training Manager do?

A Salesforce Training Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that help employees effectively use Salesforce software within an organization. They assess training needs, create materials, conduct workshops, and provide ongoing support to ensure users are proficient with Salesforce tools and updates. Their goal is to maximize the adoption and productivity of Salesforce solutions, improve business processes, and ensure that staff can fully leverage the platform’s features.

How does a Salesforce Training Manager collaborate with other departments to ensure effective training programs?

A Salesforce Training Manager frequently partners with stakeholders from sales, marketing, IT, and HR to assess training needs and customize content that aligns with business processes. They often coordinate with department leaders to schedule sessions, gather feedback, and measure training effectiveness. This cross-functional collaboration ensures that training materials are relevant and that employees can confidently apply Salesforce tools in their daily work, ultimately supporting broader organizational goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Salesforce Training Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Salesforce Training Manager, you need deep knowledge of Salesforce products, instructional design expertise, and experience in adult learning, often supported by a bachelor's degree and Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Instructor. Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning, Trailhead, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual classroom tools is typically required. Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills help engage diverse learners and drive user adoption. These skills and qualifications are essential for effectively equipping teams to maximize Salesforce capabilities and achieve organizational goals.

At TreviPay, we believe loyalty begins at the payment. Thousands of sellers use our global B2B payments and invoicing network to provide choice and convenience to buyers, open new markets and automate accounts receivables. At TreviPay, we foster a culture of critical thinking, flexible collaboration, and lifelong learning. As a Product Manager on the Intelligent Automation (IA) team, you will uncover problems, investigate root causes, analyze options, determine the right solution, then design and deliver the tools and features used by departments company wide. Some of that work streamlines manual, repetitive processes, but just as often you will be building new features and capabilities. The team's toolkit centers on Salesforce, RPA, and IDP (intelligent document processing), and is expanding into other agentic AI tools. You will work closely with engineering and stakeholders across the business to scope opportunities, write clear requirements, and help carry solutions from discovery into production.

Role/Fit Specifics

  • Proven track record of building simple, elegant solutions for complex business challenges
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and process mapping skills
  • Comfortable writing clear, concise requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Curious about automation and AI technologies, and eager to build practical fluency in tools such as Salesforce, RPA platforms, IDP/document intelligence, and emerging agentic AI tools
  • Effective communicator, able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business context for engineers
  • Organized and able to manage multiple initiatives at different stages of delivery at once
  • Collaborative cross functional partner across engineering, and various departments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs, whether that means automating a manual process or building an entirely new capability
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation and manage a prioritized, groomed backlog in Jira
  • Work with engineering to translate opportunities into scoped, buildable increments
  • Own the success metrics and business outcomes of delivered features - establish KPIs, define success criteria, monitor performance, and drive iterative improvements based on data
  • Participate in and help run agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retros
  • Document current state processes and future state automated workflows to support handoffs, training, and knowledge transfer
  • Support user acceptance testing and validation of automation solutions before go live
  • Explain the why behind decisions and help evangelize adoption with the teams affected by the change

Product/Role Specific

  • Overland Park, KS hybrid (Tue-Thu in office)
  • Member of the TreviPay Product and Technology team, on the Intelligent Automation (IA) team

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related process improvement or operations role
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, automation technologies (Salesforce, RPA, IDP/document intelligence, or agentic AI)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

  • Practical experience with agile SDLC methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Exposure to Salesforce and RPA platforms (for example, UiPath)
  • Previous experience at, or working closely with, a financial institution, fintech, or B2B payments company
