Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions for some of the world's most complex digital transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic technology guidance, defining scalable solution architectures, and ensuring successful implementation across the Salesforce ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting, communication, and leadership skills. While this role may involve occasional hands-on architecture activities, the primary focus is on solution strategy, technical leadership, governance, and client advisory rather than day-to-day development.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solution architectures aligned with business objectives and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Define end-to-end architecture across Salesforce Clouds, integrations, data platforms, AI capabilities, and surrounding enterprise systems.
  • Develop architecture roadmaps that support long-term business growth while balancing technical debt, cost, and implementation timelines.
  • Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and governance processes across client engagements.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations to ensure solution quality, maintainability, and scalability.

Client Advisory & Consulting

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and current-state/future-state planning sessions.
  • Translate complex business challenges into practical technology strategies and implementation roadmaps.
  • Present architectural recommendations and executive-level technical guidance to senior leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through strategic consulting and thought leadership.

Delivery Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the consulting delivery lifecycle from pre-sales through implementation and post-production support.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Architects, Developers, Delivery Managers, and Product Owners to ensure successful execution.
  • Guide development teams on architecture decisions, integration strategies, and platform best practices.
  • Identify technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and enterprise architecture principles.

Salesforce Platform Leadership

  • Maintain deep expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, Platform, and integration capabilities.
  • Stay current on Salesforce product releases and emerging technologies, evaluating how new capabilities can benefit clients.
  • Champion platform optimization and modernization opportunities.
  • Provide technical governance around APIs, integrations, security, DevOps, identity, and data architecture.

Sales & Business Development

  • Partner with sales teams during pursuits by leading technical discovery, solutioning, and proposal development.
  • Present solution architectures during client presentations and executive briefings.
  • Contribute to Statements of Work, delivery estimates, technical assumptions, and implementation approaches.
  • Support practice development through reusable accelerators, methodologies, and architecture assets.

Practice Leadership

  • Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and development teams.
  • Contribute to architecture communities of practice and internal technical enablement.
  • Establish technical standards and promote engineering excellence across delivery teams.
  • Represent the organization at Salesforce events, user groups, Trailblazer Community events, and industry conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise technology consulting experience.
  • 7+ years designing and implementing Salesforce enterprise solutions.
  • Deep expertise across the Salesforce Platform, including architecture, security, automation, integration, data modeling, and application design.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience designing integrations using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, middleware, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Proven experience leading architecture for large-scale Salesforce implementations involving multiple clouds and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams within consulting engagements.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA strongly preferred.
  • Multiple Salesforce certifications, including Application Architect and System Architect credentials.
  • Experience with Data Cloud, Agentforce, MuleSoft, Tableau, Slack, and AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities.
  • Experience working within Fortune 500 enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.

Professional Attributes

The ideal candidate is:

  • A trusted advisor who can influence executive stakeholders.
  • An exceptional communicator capable of translating business strategy into technology solutions.
  • Passionate about Salesforce innovation and actively engaged within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • A collaborative consulting leader who thrives in client-facing environments.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery decisions.
  • Curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.

Community & Industry Engagement

  • The successful candidate demonstrates an active commitment to the Salesforce ecosystem by:
  • Participating in Salesforce Trailblazer Community Groups and architecture forums.
  • Contributing to Salesforce and broader technology communities through speaking engagements, blogs, webinars, or knowledge sharing.
  • Staying current on Salesforce releases, industry trends, AI advancements, and emerging technologies.
