Key Responsibilities
  • Platform & Technical Leadership
    • Own the end-to-end Salesforce engineering strategy, including custom development, integrations, automation, data architecture, CI/CD, and environment management.
    • Ensure the Salesforce platform is scalable, secure, and performant, supporting complex enterprise use cases such as CPQ, contract lifecycle processes, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
    • Establish, maintain, and enforce engineering standards, best practices, code quality expectations, and documentation across the Salesforce ecosystem.
    • Partner with Enterprise Applications and IT to ensure seamless integrations between Salesforce and other core systems (e.g., ERP, billing, support platforms, data warehouse).
    • Drive architectural decisions that align with long-term platform sustainability and private equity value‑creation objectives.
    • Provide technical leadership and engineering ownership for Salesforce, partnering closely with Salesforce Administration, RevOps, and IT on configuration, process design, and platform enablement.
  • People & Delivery Management
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Salesforce engineers, developers, and technical leads.
    • Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and succession planning for the Salesforce engineering team.
    • Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives by balancing hands‑on leadership with effective delegation.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Business Partnership & Strategy
    • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to leaders across Business Operations, Revenue, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success.
    • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing trade-offs and competing priorities.
    • Support private equity operating rhythms, including KPI instrumentation, audit readiness, board‑level reporting support, and change management.
    • Contribute to platform roadmap planning, annual budgeting, vendor management, and license optimization.
  • Governance, Risk & Optimization
    • Own Salesforce platform governance, including security model, permissions, data integrity, release management, and change control.
    • Lead platform optimization initiatives to reduce technical debt, expand automation, and improve end‑user experience and productivity.
    • Stay current with Salesforce ecosystem advancements (e.g., AI, automation, DevOps tools) and evaluate their impact on the business.
