Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer III to join our enterprise Salesforce team. This role is responsible for driving Salesforce DevOps initiatives, managing application releases, and maintaining stable development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Salesforce platform development and administration, along with expertise in DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Flosum. The successful candidate will work closely with development, QA, release management, and business stakeholders to streamline deployment processes and improve software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce DevOps processes and release management strategies.
Manage Salesforce application deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
Administer and maintain Salesforce Sandboxes, including refreshes, data management, and environment synchronization.
Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or similar Salesforce DevOps tools.
Coordinate code promotions, deployments, hotfixes, and rollback strategies while minimizing production risk.
Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Administrators, QA Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver high-quality releases.
Manage source control, branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and version management.
Ensure deployment processes follow organizational governance, security, and compliance standards.
Monitor deployment activities and troubleshoot release-related issues.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Identify opportunities to automate deployment and release activities to improve efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and influence DevOps best practices across Salesforce teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps and Release Management.
Experience managing Salesforce Sandboxes and environment lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with at least one Salesforce DevOps tool:
Copado
Gearset
Flosum
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
Strong understanding of source control systems such as Git.
Experience with code and configuration management.
Knowledge of deployment strategies, environment management, and release governance.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications such as:
Salesforce Administrator
Platform App Builder
Platform Developer I/II
Copado Fundamentals or Copado DevOps Certification (preferred)
Experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX) and Salesforce CLI.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
Experience with automated testing frameworks for Salesforce.
Knowledge of Salesforce security model and deployment best practices.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
