Job description

As an intermediate salesforce developer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing customer and associate experiences by developing innovative applications that directly contribute to the success and growth of Best Buy Canada.

This 12-month fixed-term role provides an opportunity to improve our customer and associate experience using cutting-edge technologies. Join our collaborative team as an intermediate salesforce developer.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do as an intermediate salesforce developer:

  • Collaborate with developers on system and data integrations with the Salesforce platform.

  • Develop, test, debug, and demonstrate your work in an agile environment.

  • Contribute to team success by using your Salesforce domain expertise.

  • Take initiatives in proposing and implementing application changes to address business needs.

  • Strengthen your leadership skills by giving technical direction to peers.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3 to 5 years of Salesforce development experience on Salesforce service cloud.

  • Strong Apex programming experience or strong background in software development.

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and supporting customer service-related applications.

  • Experience with LWC or front-end Salesforce development.

  • Experience with API-led development and Microservices architecture.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes as part of the end-to-end application ownership.

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software design principles, with the ability to work stablished application architectures and follow development best practices.

  • Production support and operational support experience, including troubleshooting, incident management, and supporting applications in a live environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business partners, store associates, Salesforce support teams, and developers.

  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, or distributed systems is an asset.

  • Java development experience is an asset.

  • Experience with DevOps practices, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Git, OpenShift, Kubernetes Docker), and deploying Java applications to cloud environments is a bonus.
