Job description

Job Summary:
Hallmark Cards is a company focused on designing and implementing scalable e-commerce technology solutions. The Lead Software Engineer - SFCC is responsible for technical leadership, defining architecture, and ensuring the delivery of high-performing eCommerce solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
• Define system architecture, lead development efforts, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using SFCC frameworks and technologies.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and lead implementation across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Architect and oversee integrations between SFCC and enterprise systems (e.g., OMS, PIM, CRM, WMS) and third-party services, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Oversee CI/CD processes, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure platform performance, scalability, and security.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams, mentor engineers, and support Agile practices to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 4 years’ professional experience in one of these fields
• At least 10 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) B2C
• Experience with and knowledge of SFCC architecture, SFRA, controllers, cartridges, ISML templates, and JavaScript-based development
• Experience with API frameworks, integrations, and enterprise system connectivity
• Experience leading technical design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions
Preferred:
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud Digital Developer or Architect certification
• Experience with headless commerce implementations (OCAPI/SCAPI)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Experience working in Agile environments and large-scale enterprise implementations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring or leading development teams
