Job description

NSK is a global manufacturer of ball and roller bearings, linear motion technology, automotive components and steering systems with both domestic and overseas manufacturing. NSK also offers a full range of services including reconditioning, ball screw repair, product integration, application engineering and predictive & preventative maintenance and reliability services. NSK's products and solutions are everywhere where things are in motion - even under the toughest conditions. NSK's high-precision rolling bearings are used in wind turbines and machine tools, linear components are found in production lines, while our automotive components are installed in the vehicles of almost every well-known automaker.

Summary

Assists with the development and implementation of sales objectives and planning strategies for present and potential accounts. Coordinates appropriate call plans to all NSK industrial distributors and their user markets within the assigned territory. Prepares and maintains field sales records, reports and customer forecasts. Addresses and resolves technical requests from NSK customers and their end users.

Responsibilities

  • Working in conjunction with Engineering, Field Service team, support staff and the Regional Sales Manager to provide technical assistance, training and cost savings alternatives to end users and existing customers within assigned territory using the NSK Asset Improvement Process.
  • Execute high quality, opportunity driven sales calls at NSK Distributors, End Users, and defined Target Accounts.
  • Effective time management and territory management to ensure complete coverage of assigned territory.
  • Utilize, Maintain, and Update Sales Activities and Opportunities using Salesforce on a daily basis.
  • Implement and oversees critical inventory level for Key Customers
  • Document cost savings using the AIP process submitted monthly.
  • Proactive sales expansion on Strategic Core Accounts with all Distributors.
  • Active development of new Target Account opportunities with all Distributors.
  • Proactive and reactive conflict and complaint resolution both external and internal, as required.
  • Assist in providing product forecast, by part number, by customer, where possible.
  • Keep up to date on trends and market developments, new products and any and all competitive information and report on regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Preference of 5 years in industrial technical sales
  • Experience selling through industrial distributors or OEMs
  • Ease of working with CRM such as Salesforce.com
  • Experience selling in the Heavy Industry (mining and/or metals) considered an asset
  • Expertise and application knowledge (engineering, millwright) considered an asset
  • Preferred Residence Location: Manitoba or Northern Ontario
