Job description

This is a two-year development role designed to provide hands-on exposure to the equity markets, institutional client coverage, and trade execution. It is ideal for individuals interested in financial markets who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are eager to build strong client relationships over time.ย 
The analyst will work closely with the Head of Sales-Trading, senior sales-traders, traders, and research professionals to facilitate client activity, generate actionable market insights, and develop the foundational skills required for a career in institutional equities.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: ย  ย  ย ย 

Market & Trading Coverage

  • Partner with senior sales-traders with execution support, order management, and market colorย 
  • Monitor market activity, news flow, and research updates to identify actionable insights for clientsย 
  • Prepare timely summaries of key market developments, earnings announcements, and sector trendsย 
  • Support program trades and execution workflow across internal trading systemsย 
  • Track relevant economic releases, corporate news, and technical market developments throughout the trading dayย 

Client Engagementย 

  • Prepare content and talking points for client interactionsย 
  • Support development of institutional client relationships through proactive communication and follow-upย 
  • Coordinate meetings, calls, and marketing initiatives with clients
  • Maintain CRM notes and ensure accurate tracking of client interactions and engagementย 

Research & Idea Generation

  • Screen internal and external research to identify high-conviction investment ideasย 
  • Summarize analyst views and key themes relevant to institutional investorsย 
  • Assess and synthesize market intelligence gathered from research, trading flows, and client dialogueย 
  • Contribute to internal morning notes and market commentary distributed to clients

Team & Project Support

  • Collaborate closely with equity research, trading, and sales teamsย 
  • Complete special projects, develop client presentations, and market analysisย 
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policiesย 
  • Continuously develop knowledge of equity market structure, trading mechanics, and institutional client needs

Qualifications: ย  ย ย 

  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field preferred)ย 
  • Expected graduation date: Winter 2025 - Spring 2026ย 
  • Strong interest in financial markets and institutional investment
  • Internship or prior work experience in financial services industry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environmentย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsย 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilityย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesย 
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic and intellectual curiosityย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Wordย 
  • SIE Exam, Series 7, and Series 63 must be obtained within 150 days of employment ย 
  • Ability to work full U.S. equity market hours, beginning at 4:25 am PT, including premarket preparation and endofday responsibilities
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
