Job description

About the Role:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting branch sales growth by delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with new and existing customers. This role promotes products, generates revenue, and provides ongoing account support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Working closely with the Branch Manager, Outside Sales team, and warehouse staff, the Inside Sales Representative assists with quotes, order fulfillment, inventory support, and customer inquiries. Through proactive communication, product knowledge, and collaboration, this role strengthens customer loyalty and contributes to overall branch performance while upholding the company’s core values. We are looking for someone with Plumbing and Irrigation knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided
  • Build and maintain connections with potential customers or leads to cultivate new business and develop relationships
  • Generate revenue by promoting sales of new and existing products
  • Initiate sales calls to existing customers to assess the need for replenishing inventories
  • Provide ongoing customer and technical service on existing accounts
  • May work on the counter or showroom to assist walk-in customers with their needs; as needed
  • May work in the warehouse as needed to pull products, fill orders, count inventory, receive, and stock inventory
  • May assist Outside Sales Representatives by researching products and meeting customer’s needs
  • May schedule customer appointments for consultation on jobs and assist customers by providing quotes for their projects
  • Perform other various duties, as outlined by supervisor

Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • 2+ years’ experience in related industry
  • Extended periods of sitting, viewing computer screens, and use of keyboard and telephone
  • Human relations skills; oral and written communication skills
