Job Description
As an Inside Sales Intern, you will receive robust training on our products and sales process. This includes being assigned a mentor from our Inside Sales team that will assist in both your career development and achieving Sales Enablement team goals. In this role, you work directly with the Therma-Tru Sales Organization to support revenue generating activities and key channel partner follow-up.
Schedule & Location
This is a year-round internship that offers flexibility during the academic year while providing valuable in-person experience during the summer.
Summer Schedule
  • Hybrid work arrangement based in our Deerfield, IL office
  • Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Remote: Monday and Friday

School Year Schedule
  • Fully remote
  • Flexible hours designed to accommodate class schedules and academic commitments (~20 hours a week)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leverage experience and best practices to assist with team training, continuous improvement, and career development opportunities.
  • Maintain a pipeline of top opportunities & initiatives for supported districts- utilize available team resources to ensure prompt follow up and increase closed-won percentage.
  • Focus on the big rocks each week- incorporate training received from the 12-week year, 7 habits and other learning opportunities.
  • Utilize 80/20 strategy and a strategic mindset to ensure that you are focused on the most important initiatives and opportunities.
  • Meet & exceed Inside Sales opportunity goals for new and closed Fiberon opportunities.
  • Proactively source new sales opportunities for Fiberon through a defined lead follow-up cadence including outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Utilize the latest virtual technology to perform effective presentations and to streamline processes.
  • Work with Territory Managers, National Account Managers, Builder Specialists, District Sales Managers & Retail Sales Reps to support our network of channel partners and identify where Inside Sales support can be best leveraged.
  • Assist Sales Support specialist by providing superior service to the sales team by serving as a point of contact and acting as a liaison for the Fiberon business units. Assist the sales team with requests that will allow them the opportunity to gain additional selling time.
  • After successfully completing training, leverage CRM (HubSpot), Reporting tools (Tru-Analytics, Box, Monday.com), Virtual Platforms (Microsoft Teams, etc.), Sales Subscriptions (Construct Connect, Builder Partnership, etc.) and other relevant systems.
  • Liaison with other functional areas (Product Management, Engineering, Technical Sales, Marketing)
  • Identify opportunities to pursue certification and training opportunities that will assist in self & team development.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Conclusion of Internship: Develop and present to senior leaders a "report out" presentation on key areas of learning.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Desire to pursue a career in Sales.
  • Customer Service Experience

  • Demonstrates a passion for understanding customer needs.
