This role is positioned to open up new hard rock end customers, further develop existing customers, and enable the person in this position to begin familiarizing themselves with GRT Rubber's solutions and transfer systems. You will represent our full suite of high-performance wear solutions and material handling products tailored to the demands of hard rock applications - helping mining operations reduce downtime and maximize throughput.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts.
  • Learn and communicate the technical value of GRT Rubber's wear-resistant materials, transfer systems, and rubber-based solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with site personnel, procurement teams, engineers, and decision-makers.
  • Conduct site visits, deliver technical presentations, and coordinate product demos and on-site training.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to support product development, innovation, and customer success.
  • Accurately manage sales activity, pipeline data, and forecasting using CRM tools.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions within the Western U.S.

Qualifications Required:

  • 3โ€“5+ years of sales experience in mining, heavy industrial, or equipment sectors.
  • Demonstrated success selling to hard rock operations (copper, gold, or similar).
  • Technical aptitude in crushing, screening, conveying systems, or wear materials.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong time-management skills and willingness to travel up to 60%.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with GRT Rubber products, wear-resistant systems, or transfer points.
  • Existing contacts in major mining companies (e.g., Freeport-McMoRan, Newmont, Barrick).
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Why GRT Rubber?

GRT Rubber is a leading manufacturer of engineered rubber products for industrial markets, delivering durable, high-performance solutions for demanding applications. We are expanding our footprint in the hard rock mining industry, and this role is critical to that growth.

  • Company vehicle allowance
  • Health, dental, vision & life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Supportive, growth-oriented culture
  • Career development opportunities within a growing company
