Position Summary

The New Home Specialist oversees the promotion and selling of homes offered by the company to new and current customers. This position ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management and is responsible for all sales contracting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their housing needs; identifies and suggests company product line that meets those needs
  • Manages all home sales and coordinates with realtors and customer to complete contracts
  • Assists in the coordination of activities and communications surrounding the home closing, such as handling deposit checks and preparing and delivering contract documents
  • Confirms any terms or conditions by which customers have been pre-approved to purchase a home
  • Communicates accurate home deposit requirements to customers and sets customer expectations around the buying process
  • Maintains CRM database and meets monthly sales targets
  • Develops and maintains positive realtor relationships by participating in community and VIP events
  • Manages priority registration lists
  • Collaborates with other departments within the company to resolve customer concerns
  • Assists in marketing activities related to selling homes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Windows and Macintosh operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn and utilize new software
  • Superior organizational and time management skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build trust and communicate effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with medium noise levels   
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, and sit
  • Rarely required to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
